Big Pandesal and Everlasting

Kapag napadaan ka na ng Katipunan sa bandang White Plains, maaring nakita mo na ang restaurant na pabaliktad ang exterior design. Wala silang malakihang sinage pero kilala sila at iyan ang Pan De Amerikana.

Well for this story, I just wanna share ang Big Pan de Sal at Everlasting taste experience namin. We bought it sa Marikina branch BTW.

Big Pandesal is literally big in size. It’s about  6-7 inches long and 2-4 inches high. Looks like a loaf but it isn’t. Being pandesal, the outside texture has the crumb and inside is a bit hollow. The tastes gives you that wheat and butter mixed flavor and overall it’s still like your neighbourhood tinapay.

Everlasting, on the other hand is the flavor perfect partner for that 100year old Pandesal recipe bread. In a nutshell, its like embotido but instead of steaming it / shaping it in a foil and roll, they use leche flan mold. Theirs tho, is prepared in a way that the texture can be spread on the bread.
